 Metadata Catalog Service are those that allow access to the catalogs of metadtos. These catalogs are one of three key services that should exist in a Spatial Data Infrastructure: query, display and download. This service, like the other offer, must meet the prerequisite of being interoperable. That is why we like the other services are supported by the Open Geospatial Consortium standards. Web Catalog Service Specification permits the publication and access to digital catalogs of metadata for geospatial data and services. |
