 The Provincial Government of Seville, with the collaboration of the University of Seville and the work of several leading companies in the sector, has been working since 2007 on an ambitious new research project in information technology and communications to develop the system Local information of the Province of Seville (SIL).Based on the Survey of infrastructure and equipment promoted by the Ministry of Land Policy, and following the guidelines regarding IDEAndalucia spatial information management, has developed an intense methodological definition, software development and continuous updating of data. Mirador is the visible part of this system and allows to infrastructure, facilities and services of the municipalities included in the EIEL, all of the province, except Seville, Dos Hermanas and Alcalá de Guadaíra. Mirador offers numerous possibilities to discover various information on population, planning, roads, schools, cultural, sports, open spaces, and more. Mirador is a map viewer, a comprehensive data collection and a gallery of photos, which leverages the full power of spatial databases to provide a model SIL of the province.
