Doñana Biological Station is a Public Research Institute belonging to the National Research Council, CSIC, within the area of Natural Resources. Its primary mission is to conduct multidisciplinary research at the highest level, and addressed to the understanding, from an evolutionary point of view of how biodiversity is generated, the way it maintains and damages, in addition to consequences of its loss and its potential for conservation and restoration. Inherent in all this, also promotes the transfer of knowledge to society. The ICTS (Singular Scientific and Technological Infrastructure) from Doñana Scientific Reserve was created with two objectives:
The tracking and monitoring systems are related to the various tracking systems that are deployed in the Biological Reserve ICTS. These systems are targeted at the geolocation of people and vehicles and of Wild Fauna and Flora. It is a multifaceted and complex system, adapted to different circumstances, species and situations. It is composed of at least five subsystems, each one suited to track the various agencies (sizes, lifestyles and areas of champions). The monitoring system has a built-in WMS to a viewer that allows to visualize the different sensor systems for environmental (Meteorology, atmospheric, hydrology and limnology, geomorphology, etc.) and geolocation data capture that are being deployed in ICTS Biological Reserve. These systems aim to control environmental variables and the persons and vehicles eolocation as well as Fauna and Flora. It is a multifaceted and complex system, adapted to different circumstances, species and situations. The url to access the viewer is: http://mercurio.ebd.csic.es/seguimiento/ |
