Who participates in the SDIs?
SDIs represent a complex distributed system that requires the cooperation of many actors, both in production and utilization. Each of these entities has a critical role in the functioning of the system. So collaboration is needed, which results in the provision of management and corporate bodies in meeting standards.

Within the complex system of the IDE can find three groups of entities involved: producers, developers and users.

1. Publishers: are represented by all those involved in the publication of data and services. The publication involves different tasks, such as the creation and preparation of data, service configuration, design, implementation on servers, etc.

2. Developers: are those entities responsible for implementing tools that allow interaction with the services. These applications can find the map servers and clients that perform representation and analysis of data (GIS, displays, etc.)..

3. User: represents all the people, companies, governments and others., Which use and access to information published by SDI.
